A day on the farm, a Christmas Tree farm family portrait session. Jay, Christine, Michael and Brody were a pleasure to work with and photograph. This family is adorable, one day dad can pose for Santa and the smell of the trees in the air made me think of Christmas. Christmas is a beautiful time of year when families come together to spend quality time with one another. The smell of fresh baked Christmas cookies, cinnamon scented pine cones, there’s mistletoe to kiss under, all the twinkle lights, it is really a magical time of year.
Brotherly love, Michael and Brody are great listeners, any time I gave them direction, they followed through. Those smiles warmed my heart. I love watching the camaraderie between siblings, it always fascinates me to witness how brothers respond to one another.
It was a beautiful day, I love photographing on farms, it highlights the natural beauty that comes from being outdoors. Being surrounded by mother nature makes me feel grounded and connected to mother earth. Adding a family into that environment and photographing that family being themselves, makes for great portraits.
After walking around on the farm and photographing “The Bird’s Nest” with the fainting couch, we decided to start decorating a tree. Witnessing families come together and watching the love between them is another awesome aspect of my job. I have a “happy” job, a profession that captures families sharing loving moments, a profession where brides and grooms vow their love to one another, a profession that captures the most amazing moments when a newborn arrives, the profession of a photographer, I love what I do.
I also love to add anything vintage/antique to my sets. Brody looks great with this sleigh. He is so adorable! I can’t get enough of that bow-tie!
When you’re on a Christmas tree farm, you must have snow! We had so much fun for this years holiday set. This family rocks! Thank you to “The Bird’s Nest”! You are a beautiful family! Blessed be!
