did you know

1. I have a degree in Photography, Broadcasting Communications, and Recording Engineering. I originally went to college for architectural engineering and interior design. All of this experience has contributed to my diverse skillset as a professional Photographer.

2. I’ve been photographing professionally since 2004, and have managed multiple corporate photography studios in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York. I now manage my own studio at 1231 Wyoming Avenue  in Forty Fort, Pennsylvania.

3. I offer wall art. From framed family portraits, to a specific flower series for a hotel, to light paintings or drone photography, I can design your walls with my art from photography. When I witness a blank wall or space my first thought is what can I design for this space?

4. I am an instructor for photography at Luzerne County Community College.

5. I was diagnosed with IDC Breast Cancer, Stage 2A, Grade III on October 12, 2021, a year after my breasts started bleeding and doctors ignored my symptoms. I am an advocate for healthcare reform, and have a “Cancer Photography Series” that is FREE to the public.

6. I’m a board member for a non-profit organization called the Street Art Society of NEPA, a small group of creative individuals who volunteer our time to facilitate mural projects to brighten our local communities with public art. We hire artists and connect them with grant funding, commercial property owners to revitalize and beautify our corner of NEPA.

7. I volunteer for Big Brothers Big Sisters and I’ve been a “Big” since 2019. Giving back to the community is important to me and I have donated my services to many non-profit’s with photography fundraisers and fine art photography auctions.

8. Luzerne County is within the top three counties for domestic violence in the state of Pennsylvania. I was in an abusive relationship for 7 years in the 90’s, and know first-hand how difficult it can be for victims to get out of a bad situation. Because of this, it’s super important to me to donate to Ruth’s Place, one of the only local shelters for women and children in abusive relationships. If you are a victim of domestic abuse do not be afraid to start a conversation. Sometimes opening up and sharing your story with someone who can help you feel less isolated is the first step to breaking the cycle of abuse.

9. I have photography fundraisers and auction my photographs to raise money for local non-profits like Blue Chip Animal Farm and Refuge, WhiskersWorld, Ruth’s Place, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Serendipity Therapeutic Riding Program and Dinners for Kids. I enjoy giving back to my local community. I enjoy giving back to my local community and watching it grow.

10. The camera was invented in the 1800’s and has captured fleeting moments in time for hundreds of years. I view the camera like it’s a time machine and love sharing what I know about the history and magic of this medium with my clients.

11. I love music and live concerts/shows. The first introduction to music that I can recall was during my childhood. It was a 45 record of Pink Floyd’s Another Brick In The Wall. I remember being in awe listening to that record and saying to my brother “what is this”, I was 5 years old at the time. Since then, I’ve attended thousands of live concerts/shows.
